Bleach Sucks
Oh here I go on another anime rant, I seem to be stuck in a vicious cycle. A while ago on deviantART someone was complaining about Adult Swim’s lineup, complained about Bleach, but then implied reruns of Cowboy Bebop would be worse. After calling the poster retarded I was quickly reminded of how much I hate the anime Bleach: the story of a boy who can see ghosts and gets the power to turn into an invisable samurai from an emo dead girl.
And before you ask: Yes I did actually watch it. I saw up to the story arc where the characters all ended up in the poorly named "Soul Society", at which point the show went from simply almost unbearable to completely unwatchable, despite numerous people telling me this is where the show is supposed to improve. Why was I watching it? Well it happened air on Adult Swim between Trinity Blood and Eureka 7, two anime I sorta wanted to watch (Eureka 7 wasn’t bad, but wasn’t that good either, and I missed the first few episodes so I still have no idea what the hell was going on in Trinity Blood) and I was too lazy to change the channel.
And no, I didn’t go into watching Bleach with any preconceived notions. I had heard of it, but I had no idea what it was about, so the show had only its own merits on which to impress me. And my first impression was: "Yeah, I liked this show the first time, when it was called Yu Yu Hakusho." Well okay, I’m exaggerating: I never liked Yu Yu Hakusho.
The first thing that struck me about Bleach was the character designs. They’re not very good and none of the characters appear to be drawn in the same style. The whole series reeks of a hack who just crammed together every popular genre, element and character type in an attempt to get a hit. Considering the guy who writes the Bleach manga had a previous manga that completely tanked, I suspect my speculation may be close to the truth.

Hey, Ichigo! Kyo Sohma called,
he wants his fucking hair dye back
At any rate, first there’s Ichigo, the hero, who looks and acts like an ugly knock-off of Kyo from Fruits Basket. Then there’s Rukia, the magical dead girl who lives in his closet, she looks like she belongs in Yugioh. Then there’s Chad, whose design I actually like, but when he’s put next to the other characters it looks like someone from Fist of the Northstar just walked into Naruto. Then there’s Fanservice McBouncey- I mean, D.D. Busty- No, no I mean, Oral-hime-*cough* Orihime. There we go. Quite possibly the most useless character in the show, but she gets to be a hero because the writer obviously dumped a handful of characters he still felt like drawing into the second story arc and forgot about all their friends and family and their previous Earthly lives.
Yeah that abrupt change in theme and location bothered me alot. Wouldn’t people worry these kids are missing? We never see their worried family or anything. Are they all dead? Did I fall asleep between those two parts? All I know is the writer (which I’m assuming the anime follows the manga) continues to write himself into corners by introducing way too many fucking characters. Okay, maybe you had some cool designs laying around, maybe you just don’t know any better way to keep a story going, but you don’t have to write in every goddamn person who pops into your head! Argh!

Tee hee! Like, I’m just here cause I’m a
young teenaged girl with big boobs!
I also greatly dislike the EVERY1 IZ SPESHUL aspect of the show, where all of Ichigo’s friends get powers… just because. Just because the manga artist only felt like drawing four of the characters from the first story arc and dumped them into the second story arc that might as well be a completely different goddamn story. Why not just start with that plot!? Or are you just making this shit up as you go along? Damn you Tite Kubo (which isn’t even your real name!)
The show has no focus, it can’t decide on a genre (is it high school, magical girl, magical girlfriend, supernatural, samurai, fantasy, sci-fi, what the fuck is it!?) Not to mention the characters’ powers are as mismatched as their designs are from one another. Chad gets some… arm thing… that looks like it came right out of S-cry-Ed (which also sucks.) Oral-Princes-*brick’d* Orihime gets the power to summon fairy-like people who also all have very-different-from-each-other-designs and obviously exist just as an excuse to draw these overwrought characters. And nancy-boy… er.. what’s his name… Uryu, Uryu’s power looks like he stole the friggin’ bow of light thing from Slayers Try.
I honestly can’t understand why this show is so popular, then again I might have liked it myself when I was younger. And sure, maybe it’s one of those series that is just good brain candy, but please don’t try to tell me it’s much deeper than that.
Also, what the hell kind of title is "Bleach" anyway!?

I like Bleach…while I agree it’s not OMG TEH GREATEST ANIME EVARZZZ!1! and it’s absolutely NOT something that you would watch to make you think…I still like it. I don’t have your bitter, bitter view on life…yet >P Meh, Ichigo’s hair is orange because people like copying off each other.
Also, I disapprove of calling Orihime Oral-Princess (aw, it’s not her fault a pervy Japanese man draws her D: ), but I approve of calling Uryu ‘nancy boy.’ Heartily approve.

Bleach is popular because it’s really fun to watch. I happen to really like the show because the plot moves along quickly, the animation is very well done, and it has some humorous parts that make me laugh. But it’s definitely not deep, though-provoking stuff – just fun characters and quick-moving plots. Also, it’s one of the best new shows to make it to Adult Swim in a while. Eureka-7? Trinity Blood? S-cry-ed? Boring and uninspired. Formulaic or not, at least Bleach keeps me interested.
However, I am confused about the name, too. Is it because his hair is orange? I don’t get it.

None of them, not even Bleach, are as bad as Blood+

The thing about Bleach is that it’s not overly thought provoking until you try thinking about it, then you just get a headache. Tite is kinda known for his story arcs that I call the “let’s try this kind of crack” arcs.
I think probably the only thing I really like about the series (manga; I’ve never watched the anime and have stopped reading the manga because that has frankly gone to hell and Lucifer’s getting pissed and Azrael’s confused and a bit mad) is the swords, and that’s because I have a fascination with weaponry. And I kinda like the fairies, but it just seems so weird to have FAIRIES when just about everyone else has swords. Kubo Tite, I don’t want whatever crack you’re on.

I read an article on bleach in a mag and they said the name was”Bleach” because the hero’s hair is originally bleached…wich means he doesn’t have a natural hair colour….strange I know^^”" Yeah Orihime’s a big fanservice…if only her boops were well…not blocking her view from her feets^^”" But I really like Kon though…(even it’s a “wow-look-it’s-a-cute(sort of..)-mascot-for-the-show!” cliché)
But I don’t think Ichigo’s a copy, since the’re so many anime out there, it’s normal some characters are alike: Bleach’s a shonen (yeah, at least I’m sure of that) why the hell would it inspires itself from a shojo?? (even if the shojo in question is quite popular) I simply think orange is used to show he’s different. In fact, he’s not a oh-my-god-all-my-family-is-dead-and-I’m-so-sad character, and it’s a nice thing. (his family is quite wierd but it’s pretty fun) But you’re right, too many characters for my poor little head Y_Y (their names looks all the same…and I can’t take any name ending by maru anymore T_T)
I still like bleach,it’s pretty funny and we want to know what happenned to our 20 favorites characters, even if it take 180 stupid episodes…(I really hate when anime are so long…especially when we have only one episode a week and damn it, YTV (canadian) always seem to like the expression on my face when they start the show all over…”WTF?! Bleach is starting all over again??!!!*&?$#@#!!But the’re at least 130 episodes of that thing T_T” yup, try to see what it’s like.)
(pretty long comment…I had inspiration I guess^^”")

Yeah, I pretty much don’t like it for the same reasons. The only reason to watch it is because you don’t need to have been watching the whole series to know what’s going on…because nothing much is?
5:29 pm on July 10th, 2007
I kind of like bleach not that much though. It’s something you must watch while in an altered state of mind, caffeine, sugar, things like that, and then you must watch copious amounts.

Omg….Bleach…another failed anime [AS] airs.
Why can’t they just get rid of all the anime they show on there.
Sure I love Anime, but they show sucky anime.
What they should show is great anime like Hellsing or Nerima Daikon Brothers or PaniPoni Dash! or something that worth watching.
I have to admit I use to watch it but that was only and only because I liked the theme song and ending song when it first aired.
I really agree with ya Sai.
Bleach. friggen. sucks.
1:07 am on July 11th, 2007
Not to sound like I’m defending the series, it’s only one of my favorite 100 (somewhere in the 30/40s) anime, but the part about “kids missing and their parents worrying”…the manga actually was written well enough to discuss this subject since only Ichigo needed to worry about it.
Ichigo simply used Kon to take over his body to make his family think he was still there. Uryu, Orihime and Chad were all alone in terms of family. Orihime only had her big brother, but he past away. Uryu had his grandfather until he was killed by Soul Reapers. Chad, well, it was never really explained. And as far as their friends were concerned, they pretty much only had one another.
Really, the manga was far better. “Zombie Powder”, ‘Tite Kubo’s’ first project, was more of a sleeper hit but bombed due to his horrid release schedule and some mental break down he supposedly had at the time.
Ah well, its just a mindless anime you watch for fun. Nothing more. There are far better things out there at the moment, but there are also far, far far worse things at the moment too.
5:22 pm on July 11th, 2007
@Senji XD I will agree with you that there are worse things out there than Bleach.

Well considering that adult swim is basically the only source of
cable tv anime for us little aussies i think that bleach is pretty good..
Although i have already got 8 seasons of it on dvd i must say the fillers are
basically as long as the naruto ones. That really got on my nerves but i still
enjoy watching it. (sounds better in japanese personally).
Also i LOVE trinity blood, im not saying that everyone else has to like it
too but it would be nice if people considered others opinions. Just because
you personally dislike something that doesnt mean that every one has the same tastes.
And i again will not hate you for disagreeing with me its human nature after all..
So to tie it all off i do enjoy watching Bleach, Eureka 7 and Trinity blood but
i have seen better anime.
11:09 pm on July 11th, 2007
@Manga I think I might like Trinity Blood more if I could absorb/get into the plot. I’ve been contemplating if its worth buying on DVD or not one of these days. I enjoy the character designs, even if they are rather overwrought. I’m not usually into vampires and shit though.
3:52 am on July 16th, 2007
I think the whole concept of souls turning into Hollows, the whole Soul Society thing, those damn Zanpakutos, and etc. are interesting. Sure, there are some “shinigami” manga/anime out there but I’ve never really encountered something like this. Of course, there’ll be a lot of characters as the story progresses. I personally like all of them (well…except for Uryuu. Never really liked characters with glasses and acts “cool”). And of course, there will be characters that’ll look like other characters from other anime because…well, guess what? There’s over a thousand of anime out there. I’m pretty sure some characters will look like said characters from said series. It’s just how it is. =P
Yes, you can tell I’m a BLEACH fan already. =P But like what others say in art or anything else, some people may like it and then some people may not like it. That’s just it. I do respect your opinion though. Just saying mine in return.
10:54 pm on July 19th, 2007
I agree. The sad thing about Bleach is that if it took itself more seriously and kept its premise tight and focused, it could be a much, much better anime. There are so many issues that could be addressed and explored with respect to Bleach’s Soul Society, the hollows, how death is viewed, etc. At the same time, so many things are glossed over (why model it after edo Japan? Do people from other countries and cultures end up in Soul Society, or do only Japanese people go to heaven? What about the more famous people that have died? It would be pretty bad-ass to see a Shinigami Abraham Lincoln..). It really is like a bunch of shit just slapped together…
4:05 pm on July 20th, 2007
@Ian Haha! I was wondering the same thing about the Edo-Japan afterlife. And its like… goddamn is the afterlife really that BORING? Just wandering around and old world town all day?
6:24 pm on July 30th, 2007
I like Bleach a lot, but it’s gotten worse since the Arrancar arc started (I skipped the filler, so I can’t speak for that). The recent episodes are so boring! I loved the Soul Society arc- it was just pure crack and insanity. I agree that Bleach isn’t the most original series out there, but it’s a lot of stupid fun. And Orihime become more interesting later in the series. She’s the only reason I still watch it. I can relate to her a lot- she has low self-esteem, but she’s not emo about it, and tries to feel better. I really like that about her. But she was kinda boring earlier on. It’s not until later is Soul Society arc that I liked her. Now she’s my favorite female character.
Oh, and I watched the first episode of Trinity Blood and couldn’t understand what was going on. And not in that mysteries-for-later-episodes or this-is-pure-crack way, but that I didn’t know things that would’ve made that episode make sense. And the main character was a bad Vash knockoff.

Naruto now there is an anime that sucks. Bleach rules
11:32 am on April 17th, 2009
Bleach, while I enjoyed it for the first few episodes (i’ve switched to reading the manga primarily right when the arrancar showed up.)
But ever since the bount this series has sucked. I’m seriously so sick of the deus ex machina. That’s an amateur way of telling a story.
It IS unfocused, and instead of being a show focusing on techniques and good artwork, it has become a show about who can make the bigger explosion.
No one dies, there’s nothing to lose. Tons of useless characters, and the story doesn’t focus on any emotional theme whatsoever.
bleach sucks.
oh and the deus ex machina. AGAIN.

lol’d @ the Google “Watch Bleach” ad that appeared at the bottom on my screen. Iiiironyyyyy~
Sorry, just had to throw that in there, since I really have nothing to contribute to the actual agruement (I haven’t watched anime since 7th grade, so I don’t really know what you’re talking about and therefore have no justified grounds to stand on).

The whole “living alone, no familial strings attached thing, is a pretty old and, fairly common plot device. (Sailor Jupiter lived alone if I remember correctly). What family would let Kagome leave for months at a stretch, to risk her life in the feudal era? It’s fantasy.
Ichigo’s family doesn’t worry because of Kon but later it is revealed that his father was a shinigami, and knew all along that Kon wasn’t Ichigo.
I’m sorry the author doesn’t like the show.
I happen to love it. It’s fun show with a great, massive cast of characters and I find the world entertaining.
10:32 am on August 11th, 2009
Actually in Inuyasha that was less fantasy and more of a gaping plothole. “Oh yes dear, we’ll let you disappear for months at a time with the strange feral demon boy to our ancient past which was apparently filled with monsters! No problem!”
I- what? His dad is a shinigami too? …. I’m glad I stopped watching.

My brother bought me the first two Bleach manga for my birthday years ago. I read them. The next day I walked back into Barnes&Noble and traded them in for Death Note. Never regretted it.
Thank you for discouraging me from reading the rest of Bleach, I wasn’t that inclined to anyway.

Also, about Trinity Blood… I’ll admit I’m a fan, but that may or may not be because I was suckered in by the gorgeous manga artwork. Still, I must step in. Now I don’t watch anime. At all. Ever, so I can’t speak for the anime, but the manga actually makes some sense, from what I remember. Sure, the characters aren’t all that original (though Tres is awesome no matter what) and as far as I know the manga isn’t far along enough to tell if the plot works or not (the author of the original Trinity Blood novels, which of course everything is based off of, died, which may or may not have something to do with it?), but I still can’t make myself dislike the series. And I’d love to get my hands on the original novels, because they’re probably a different experience altogether. I guess it’s just another matter of mediums, such as the FMA anime vs manga deal.
6:06 pm on August 17th, 2009
i completely agree
given all these reasons why would you continue to watch overly drawn out that continues for the mere fact that tite kubo is a money whore, when there is so many otheer anime that are a good length no more than 50 episodess and to the point
10:41 pm on September 8th, 2009
I only read the online Bleach Manga up to chapter 33. And when I discovered that the Soul Society Arc wasn’t gonna be until chapter 70, I just quit.
Also, what makes Ichigo worse is that his name translates to “Strawberry”. Now knowing this pretty much makes him a laughingstock. At least Monkey D. Luffy’s name made more sense.

bleach this days so fuckin lame. its all about the biggest explosions..useless talking, the fights drag on like forever like dragon ballz…goku powering up for like five episodes, seriously what the hell is up with the fillers
tite kubo8(whatever) is on some revolutionary weed. there are so many characters frankly i forgot ichigo face already….now its all talk of what technique i will use on u after i do some flash steps…some fights were nice made me watch bleach some what (i dont actually remember some names…guy with patch and strongest body espada) seriously take points from onepiece, the only anime that keeps me in suspense and maybe naruto

This anime sucks balls straight up i’m glade you came up with this. Reason is WTF is with all these powers coming out of no where. Realistically this anime is for tools to watch. Theres pretty much no stories to this. All the ESPADA DIES thinking they can at least each tank a captain but nope they just like die like flies in the end. Also ichigo transforming to some kind of SUPER MASK 2 WITH BANKAI. WTF … The more i watch this show the more i want to go back watching DBZ at least DBZ looks awesome when they tranform. BANKAI SUCKS BALLS since theres nothing more to progress maybe until further notice til the creator thinks they need more power but I dont see that coming. If you guys reading the latest manga how many notice they been stuck in mid air for almost 40 mangas????? I really want to know how much this anime sucks. I dont understand how some bleach loves hating naruto. Naruto is a true anime straight up . You actually seee progression and unlike bleach at least naruto is focus on the main char and doesn’t randomly keep focusing too many extras.. F U ALL TO ALL YOU BLEACH LOVERS. NARUTO SAGE MODE WILL TAKE ICHIGO MASK 2 WITH BANKAI ANYTIME. I HATE YOU BLEACH MUAHAHAHHAAH. Yours truly Bleach hate aka TheRatedR
4:18 am on November 29th, 2009
Lol it’s obvious it always sucked.
Oralhime, lol it fits her way better like she’s so utterly useless and wants to suck ichigo’s cock so bad it’s just annoying…
Well I guess it’s still better than my immortal.

im not 100% sure but here’s an idea i have about THE NAME: BLEACH as far as i remember the author of this thingie (which isnt THAT bad it’s a nice thing to watch when youre bored XD) had an idea for a manga where all of the characters used guns rukia (the emo dead girl) was supossed to use a scythe (even more emo-ish) and EVERYBODY WAS SUPPOSED TO BE BLACK PEOPLE uh scratch that AFROAMERICANS or whatever we call you guys i dont remember. i remember seing this on some kind of bleach forum but i dun have any idea how to find it back
SPOILER ALERT:
i think this makes sense since theres a lot of “wallpapers” with them having guns instead of swords plus theres this recent movie where rukia actually gets a scythe theres another movie where theres a villain that has some kind of missileturretthingie attached to his back theres soifons bankai which is a FUXING BAZOOKA?!?!? and there’s this new guy STARK or whatever his name was he uses two guns
but yeah i think the name BLEACH is from the -changing blackpeople/afroamericans into white people/engloamericans- thingie
11:02 am on February 8th, 2010
@Nez Ehhh.. that’s probably a rumor. The way I’ve heard it is its a Engrishy title trying to describe exorcizing the Hollows.

Even though every time a character fights it turns out “ZOMG they were only using .002% of their power!!” and then there’s WHOREihime’s “KUROSAKI-KUN!!!!” line that plagues practically every single manga page since she’s first appeared, not to mention how there’s a gazillion characters in it now and aizen’s motivation STILL haven’t been explained (yeah yeah, he wants to be king, but WHY?????)
BUT still love the show, even if it’s a by-the-numbers shonen thing. Why? I dunno. XD

one piece is better then bleach and naruto bleach is boring naruto is gay it should be call sasuke that all the show is about bleach how you gon make a filler over another filler i will watch bleach is 2035 they should be on the main story by then
11:51 pm on April 30th, 2010
I dont really watch Bleach. To be totally honest, i’ve only caught maybe an episode or two from each season and the only thing I like about Bleach sometimes is the openings. Ichirin no hana, D-technolife and things like that. But some of my friends LOVE Bleach while I only like Yoruichi. Now THAT’S a girl I can relate to. She kicks ass(too bad we dont see her anymore…Well, I dont see her anymore)
But I rot my brain on shoujos more than Shounens. The ONLY anime/manga series i will watch/read until i die is Yu-Gi-OH!(Not G/X and I’m NOW getting into 5Ds though i said I’d NEVER get into any other YGO other than the first one. Irony) That’s my show. Sure Atemu/Nameless Pharaoh acted like a whiny emo dumbass sometimes, but I still liked it.
Better than Bleach.
9:31 pm on May 1st, 2010
Man oh man, this rant really made my day. I used to like Bleach when I was about fourteen, well, I’m nineteen now and my whole view on it flip flopped. I don’t understand how people can be born in the Soul Society and yet…people who die go there? Besides that, there’s a whole list of things that don’t make sense in Bleach and it just ends up a terrible mess in the end. Actually, a lot of things about Bleach are just god awful because Kubo just can’t write for shit. Though he supposedly admit he’s just winging it. Kudos to him for admitting his suck-age.
By the way, the Oral-hime thing made me giggle. I simply cannot stand her.
12:18 am on May 2nd, 2010
LOL and I think Tite is making up excuses why he cant build up any ‘romance’ between characters. ‘I dont want to turn Bleach into a love story and there’s better aspects to the characters than love’. That’s a laugh because I’ve seen PLENTY of Shounens build up romances and still be as action packed as ever. and watch, if Tite Kubo actually wraps this manga up, I bet he’s just gonna put Ichigo with some random girl that we NEVER heard of or anything and the ending will suck because he didnt build anything else up. No romance, no actually caring of characters, NOTHING >_>
I probably have more to say but yeah. And ironically as i type this, Bleach is on
12:00 pm on May 15th, 2010
I’ve actually seen no one bring this up, but has anyone noticed that the main story arcs (Soul Society/ Hueco Mundo) are the EXACT SAME PLOT!? Girl gets captured, Ichigo goes to save her. Has to fight through countless filler characters along the way, some of them even side with him for no reason whatsoever. Even the bad guys are mirror images of the Death Gods. Seriously, put them side by side and tell me they don’t even look the same much less act the same. Also, I wish Kubo would grow some balls and kill off a main good guy, I’ve seen so many characters sacrifice themselves nobly only to be brought back because hey, we got people who can heal anyone anytime. It would be a lot cooler if we felt some sense of danger, whenever I see someone close to death now I shrug because I know he’ll be back in a couple of episodes/issues.
And now we find the Hougyoku is pretty much a thing that lets the writer do whatever he wants. Major cop-out. Epic fail. If the manga wasn’t free online I would never read it lol

I hat how ichgos powers seem to sky rocket out of nowhere at least in DBZ you saw Goku train and hell there was even a genetic reason why he got powerful. Naruto you see him working hard all the time but Ichigo is such a cunt he doesn’t have to train he just pulls powers out of his ass. I stopped watching when they put him on even ground with that Equloria Espada guy after being outclassed completely before.

Yes, Bleach does suck, it seriously sucks. For those who like Bleach and would say that Naruto or One Piece sucks, then these are people who simply don’t want to bother themselves with plot. Many Naruto fans, like me, actually gave Bleach a chance… Bleach has a million plot holes and never elaborates on anything. It’s basically full of junk; pretentious and disorganized. Tite Kubo is the type that would rather spend more time worrying about how cool he can make his hundreds of redundant characters look on the cover or in a nonsense fight than actually work on avoiding continuously writing himself into a corner. No creativity is involved in making an intricate story, instead, he just has Ichigo pull all of this power from nowhere as Kubo farts out all of these deux es machinas. No protagonist dies, no matter how many times they bled and were cut (or holes were put through them), and there’s never a thing to think about. Bleach is obviously limited in its contributions to the shounen genre and honestly, even makes it look bad. For me, I’m going to stick to the truly original and artistic worlds of Naruto and One Piece and see those artists’ perspectives on how to acheive world piece.

Bleach-Got boring after the Bounts (even though I’ve heard that the Bounts were only filler, they still completely destroyed the shinigami repeatedly and were actualy kinda cool, and i started to get mad when they began to die) afterwards, it became dull
One Piece-Interesting, until after they entered the sand, it kinda strayed off the point of finding One Piece, and went into an amazingly awful plot
Naruto-After Sauske leaves the squad, it all goes downhill (but is still kinda watchable, even though i consider Naruto one of the most annoying characters to ever exist)
Death Note-after L’s death, intelligence of both sides decreased, and the plot became pretty predictable ( instead of surprising you like when L was still alive)
Trinity Blood- no matter how many episodes i watch consecutively, it always seemed to bore me and leave me mildly confused on the plot
Ghost in the Shell- no matter how many different series of this are released, they always become so dull that it becomes a strain to watch and i react to an episode ive already seen (when it comes up on [AS]) by leaving the room, though i try and have been impressed (though it’s a rare occasion
Eureka 7- Had it’s ups and downs, it seemed to have an equal amount of good and bad episodes to me
Inyuasha- after a few seasons, the battles with Inyuasha are staged like this:
Wind Scar (Missed/Blocked), Inyuasha is beat within an inch of his life, Wind Scar (instant kill). This formula stopped me from watching Inyuasha until he got new moves, which also became spammed, turning me off of the series ( what happened to normal sword swings??), plus, the only useful character after a while (besides Inyuasha) is Kagome
Not any one anime is perfect, but i do have to say that Bleach is unwatchable, but not as bad as ghost in the shell
(these are all about the anime, i havent read any of the manga versions except Bleach {pretty much the same, minus fillers})
Lets face it, the only good anime that [AS] has is Cowboy Bebop, which has been ended already a LONG time ago, and FLCL (discontinued, but needs a comeback from the co. that bought it)

Wow.. Just.. Wow.
What’s with the retarded hate comments and this article?
Like they’ve never knew the freakin’ story and can’t get their facts straight.
You are making fun of Bleach instead of telling us why it sucks. I can write tons of these articles easily. Seriously what kind of writer is this? More like a jester pretending to be a writer.
”[...]gets the power to turn into an invisable samurai [...]”
”Then there’s Rukia, the magical dead girl[...]”
You can’t even name a thing right, they’re called Shinigami/Death Gods, atleast tell us something right instead of an ”invisable samurai” or a ”magical dead girl” there is a reason Tite Kubo named them.
”Well okay, I’m exaggerating: I never liked Yu Yu Hakusho.”
Like you even like a single anime? What the hell is wrong with you?
”And before you ask: Yes I did actually watch it. I saw up to the story arc where the characters all ended up in the poorly named “Soul Society”[...]”
I don’t care if you did watch it or not, I smell a huge anime hater here.
”They’re not very good and none of the characters appear to be drawn in the same style.”
Ofcourse they’re not drawn in the same style, you can’t have 100+ characters in an anime/manga you made with the same style and personalities, give me a valid reason that ensures that they’re not very good.
”Orihime gets the power to summon fairy-like people who also all have very-different-from-each-other-designs.”
Wow, you just – HATE – different styles and personalities. Give Tite Kubo a break, if he didn’t have different designs for every character then it just would be boring, are you serious?
”[...]she gets to be a hero[...]”
Who said she is a ”hero”? (Learn how to type heroine.) She is just one of the main characters, and doesn’t need to be one. If you haven’t heard of the stories that involve a princess kidnapped by a dragon and being saved by hero then you surely living in a cave. The princess is one of the main characters in the story I mentioned and she isn’t a heroine nor is useful in anyway.
”The show has no focus, it can’t decide on a genre (is it high school, magical girl, magical girlfriend, supernatural, samurai, fantasy, sci-fi, what the fuck is it!?)”
Man, you hate Bleach for not knowing it’s genre, how pathetic. The fact that it has many themes makes it more fun to watch. Seriously how much is it boring watching the same theme and genre forever? And there is something called ”action”.
”I also greatly dislike the EVERY1 IZ SPESHUL aspect of the show, where all of Ichigo’s friends get powers[...]”
They’re unique not special, just like real life. And who said that ALL Ichigo’s friends get powers? Those three are some but not all.
”I honestly can’t understand why this show is so popular,[...]”
Surely you can’t. You’ve mentioned many animes and said that they suck in your Bleach article, I am not surprised.
”Then there’s Fanservice McBouncey- I mean, D.D. Busty- No, no I mean, Oral-hime-*cough* Orihime.”
Failing attempt at making your article more ”awesome”. As I said your making fun of Bleach instead of saying why it sucks.
”All I know is the writer (which I’m assuming the anime follows the manga) continues to write himself into corners by introducing way too many fucking characters. Okay, maybe you had some cool designs laying around, maybe you just don’t know any better way to keep a story going, but you don’t have to write in every goddamn person who pops into your head! Argh!”
Um, no wonder why there are many characters. You can’t have only 4 characters for 100+ episodes.”Way too many fucking characters”? Really – the time you posted this poor, lacking and weak article, the anime was like 3 years old what do you expect? The more years old the anime is, the more characters and episodes there will be, dummy.
”[...]it looks like someone from Fist of the Northstar just walked into Naruto.”
You realize that Bleach was made before Naruto right?
”Just because the manga artist only felt like drawing four of the characters from the first story arc and dumped them into the second story arc that might as well be a completely different goddamn story. Why not just start with that plot!? Or are you just making this shit up as you go along? Damn you Tite Kubo (which isn’t even your real name!)”
You can’t even respect the owner of the anime your speaking of. Every story is like that, they make the first story then dump all their characters in the second and it is not completely different.
The first story shows us how he became a Shinigami and the second continues the story. What’s wrong with that? If he didn’t start from the begining and start from the ”different goddamn story”, then you will just say ”Tite Kubo didn’t tell us the goddamn BACKstory.”. Simple as that.
”Also, what the hell kind of title is “Bleach” anyway!?”
Also, what the heck kind of title is ”Fruits Basket”? Eh?
You don’t know why it’s named Bleach? Then how the hell are you trying to review it if you don’t know these simple things?
It’s sad how most comments are agreeing with this wall of pointless words. And sad how ignorant the one who wrote this article is.
The only heartless people who simply say ”Bleach Sucks” is because they are jealous of it, don’t watch it, or an ignorant person that even if they watched it they aren’t observant enough to point the nice things in the anime. I hereby say Sai’s Asylum Sucks and for a reason.
Trying to write a failing article about 1/3 of Bleach won’t change a thing, tiny, tiny hater.
I respect even animes/mangas I don’t like. SAME AS YOU… Not. Have a good day, troll.
